English for Academic Purposes can be seen as a completely different language from the General English most language learners are exposed to.

This presentation will look at ways to prepare for University-level English by covering the research process and various research tools needed.
It will then examine academic discourse and ways to read critically and synthesise ideas to support our students' academic journey.

Vero Barcutean has graduated with an MA in Applied Linguistics and English Language Teaching from university of Nottingham and has been working as an English for Academic Purposes tutor at various UK universities for the last 5 years.
