Local Words, Global English:Turning tricky cultural terms into teachable English moments

P.A.R.K. Summer School for Teachers 2025
This hands-on workshop is all about helping your students talk about Czech life in natural English. We’ll explore fun, practical ways to teach tricky cultural words — like štamgast, vánočka, or pomlázka — and turn them into real, everyday vocabulary your learners can actually use. You’ll try out creative activities that make it easier to deal with tricky translations and help students express cultural ideas with confidence. No special tech skills needed — just a curious mind, a love for language, and a wish to make English more meaningful and connected to real life.
